Rugby Seasons Start- Teams and players look minimize the effects of concussions- Hyperbaric Oxygen -a promising treatment alternative in addressing the concussions

A concussion is an injury to the brain  that results in a temporary loss of normal brain function. It is usually caused by a blow to the head. In the majority of cases there are no external signs of head trauma. Many people assume that concussions involve a loss of consciousness, but this is not true. Often it is the cumulative effects of sub-concussive  impacts that go untreated that have the greatest impact  long term. Hyperbaric Oxygen therapy has emerged as a promising therapeutic option providing oxygen to tissues in critical need as they heal.
